Nathan Dring and Associates is a bespoke consultancy that focuses on helping organisations with the ‘people-side of performance.’
The human aspect
In many organisations, improving performance through people can be tricky! Some initiatives are short-lived, some don’t quite embed and some don’t get off the ground. As such a lot of time, money and effort is spent with little to show for it. This can happen when there is too much focus on the tangible and measurable aspects of performance. We recognise that these are necessary ‘levers of control’ and that they give direction, but they do not focus enough on the human aspect.
Around 80% of human behaviour is driven by emotion, so when organisations almost exclusively focus on the logical facets of performance, they miss out. As such, the employee experience doesn’t feel right, the culture is one of chasing targets – and the overall result is that both the customer experience and the business metrics are missed.
